Idle adjustment – Setting the start throttle – Keihin I carburetor

Idle adjustment on a cold engine (opening the throttle)

If the engine idles constantly, it is most often necessary to adjust "fast” Idle. Before making adjustments, warm up the engine to operating temperature. Ignition settings and idle speed must be correct.

■ Pull out the choke control”. Lever (1, lynx. 2.163) the starting throttle should rest against the bumper.

■ Start the engine.

■ Fully open the mixture throttle with the lever (2).

■ Check the speed. If the rotational speed is different than 3200 RPM, it must be decreased or increased, by compressing or expanding the notch in the lever shown in the illustration 2.163.

Setting the start throttle
