Painting and interior design of the bus – camper:
I chose the colors of the cabinets and partitions to honor the origin of the vehicle, so the walls at the front of the bus – „salon” – are painted with Glidden "light tourmaline", which is the color closest to the original. interior of a green school bus.
Window pillars and ceiling, which are now the green interiors of the school bus, will eventually be painted white – perhaps on textured wallpaper, to create an artificial Victorian pewter ceiling effect.
Here is a view of a framed window with a golden torch destination sign, which my sister did, floating in front and in the middle
After all, I tried to get a mid-20th century look with an eclectic mix of architectural elements – I wanted, to make it look cozy, but outdated seaside cottage or beach house.
The rug was from a friend's dining room, was in exceptionally good condition and a single piece of dimensions was enough 10 x 12 Stop.
The kitchen cabinets are two-colored, slightly darker drawers and doors are painted Glidden "Mystic Seaport", another darker color from the "light tourmaline" color card.
The tops are made of birch plywood with 3 the 4 layers of polyurethane varnish – were saved from a kitchen overhaul by Craig's list.
Pantry and tub door.
The front wall of the bunk room is painted with Glidden "Mystic Seaport" paint.
Rear wall of a bunk room.
The front wall of the master bedroom is also painted with "Mystic Seaport" paint, but it looks a little brighter in this photo, because it was taken later in the day.
The rear hump is also carpeted and creates a nice bedside table. The piece of foam on the right and left will be covered with fabric, to provide an extension of the bed. The standard size of the futon is a bit too short for me.
