Converting a bus into a motorhome

Lighting, kerosene lamp and electrician in the bus – campers:

The lighting will be all right 12 V and will be a mixture of 12 volt compact fluorescent lamps and halogen coils. There will also be LED reading lights above the bunks and in the master bedroom.12-volt compact fluorescent CF bulbs.

These bulbs are from Real Goods – they call them DC spring tubes.

There are some lights, which will be used rarely or very occasionally, and I didn't want to spend 12 dollars to equip them with a CF bulb. I also wanted to be able to replace the bulb in the lamp while traveling, where CF bulbs 12 V may not be available, so i made some edison for bayonet adapters.Adapter 12 V to Edison
The top adapter is soldered together, the lower one is made of kitsch of my favorite urethane structural adhesive.Single Edison bulb adapters

Edison's bases come from a 150 watt flood outside and a bad CF bulb. The CF bulb already has wires (watch out, so as not to break the glass when cutting off the base, there is mercury vapor inside), and external floods usually have brass bases, to which you can solder.

Here is the double bulb version.adapter for double bulb

The basis for this came from some kind of built-in lighting fixture, which I pulled out of the metal recycling bin at the municipal landfill.

Here is the dining room lighting, is an angle lamp produced by the Angle Lamp company from New York since the end of the 19th century. Shades and globes are reproductions, but the lamp is probably from the beginning of the 20th century.angle lamp installed
The lamp has two of these unique burners no 3, which produce no shadow. This lamp is quite bright, reading with her is very convenient. However, it does produce some heat, so good, that it is close to the front hatch.flame

Kerosene electric wall lamp

I made this kerosene and electric bath wall lamp combination. I have two different "burners", which, if necessary, can be screwed into the font. One is the standard oil burner no 2, and the other is a modified burner no 2 with a bayonet socket for a light bulb 12 V. The electric burner is connected to the switch plate visible here under the lamp.

Lamps 12 V CF in the bedroom

These two lamps came out of the dumpster a few weeks ago and were perfect for the master bedroom. They are equipped with a pair of compact fluorescent lamps 12 V based on Edison by Real Goods.
