Flushing the hydraulic actuating system of the brakes.
They are only made then, when the system becomes dirty or when the system fluid is replaced with another fluid. The brake system is flushed as follows:
- unscrew the air vents of all wheels and press the brake pedal several times to pump the fluid out of the system;
- after the liquid is pumped out, denatured alcohol is poured into the pump reservoir and pumped into time, until pure spirit flows out of the vents, then the addition is stopped and all the spirit is pumped out of the system;
- then the cylinders and pistons of the hydraulic cylinders are washed with alcohol or brake fluid, then they are lubricated with castor oil or brake fluid and the spacers are assembled into a single unit;
- the system is filled with brake fluid, and after flushing the system with this fluid, to remove residual spirit, the tank is refilled with fluid and vented.
Caution: Do not use engine oil or gasoline in place of the brake fluid, as all petroleum products are destructive to rubber parts (seals) layout.
