The car's wheel suspension is solved quite simply, using wheel guidance with McPherson struts. At the front, they are supported by an L-shaped rocker, at the rear with a wishbone arrangement of unequal length. Despite the use of two stabilizers, there is a tilt in bends, the suspension feels too soft and does not pick up the road roughness well. As a result, the Accent is comfortable to drive, when we are moving at moderate speeds, but be careful when going fast. The power steering assistance is standard equipment. A vehicle equipped in this way is very easy to drive and you may be tempted to say, that the Accent is a "ladies car". The anti-lock braking system (ABS) in conjunction with the EBD brake force distribution system used in more expensive versions ensures effective braking and steering of the vehicle.
Cars are available – depending on the preferences of the driver – with two gasoline engines of displacement 1341 the 1495 cm3; they achieve accordingly 62 i 66 kW of power. They are four-cylinder timing units with three valves in each cylinder (two inlet), powered by Bosch multi-point petrol injection.
