Keihin carburetor 2 – Checking the idle speed boost system (Automatic Transmission).
On cars with an automatic transmission, the carburetors have a built-in throttle, the idling speed may not be reduced below when shifting gears 850 RPM.
■ Bring the engine to operating temperature.
■ Depress the start lever cable ("Suction”).
■ Adjust the ignition and idle speed.
■ Connect the tachometer.
■ Brake the vehicle with the emergency brake.
■ Start the engine and let it idle.
■ Switch on all electric consumers.
■ Depress the brake pedal and set the gear selector to the drive position.
■ The throttle opening device should open the throttle slightly. Damage to the damper may be caused by damage to the actuator or the actuator control valve.
■ If the unit opens the throttle and the speed does not change, rotate the screw (1, in fig. 2.179) and set the speed to 850 RPM.
