The word Nubira comes from the Korean nubid, which loosely translated means being able to go anywhere. The name Daewoo Nubira is therefore the manufacturer's warranty, that you can get everywhere with this car. Before production started in 1997 year the car was tested in 12 countries by 20 months, m.in. in conditions of extreme heat in Death Valley in the USA and Alice Spring in Australia and extreme cold in Khabarovsk, Russia and Kapuś Kasing in Canada, and at high altitude in Quito, Ecuador. How is this car doing in our conditions, we had the opportunity to find out, driving the Nubira station wagon on Polish roads.

Production of the station wagon was launched almost simultaneously with the limousine and the hatchback. The car quickly found its way to Żerań, where in 1997 assembly began in the year. After two years, the model was modernized and from December 1999 In the year, production began at Daewoo-FSO, I highlight the production of Daewoo Nubira.
Daewoo Nubira, also in the estate version, has a redesigned body, improved ergonomics and enhanced equipment. On the outside, the engine cover with a distinct crease is visible, featuring the brand's signature enlarged grille motif. The front longitudinal headlights were significantly enlarged, the front bumper has been widened by 25 mm, underneath it is a thick energy-absorbing element, and the exterior mirrors have been given a more aerodynamic shape. The estate car is longer than its predecessor by 35 mm, wider by 20 mm and lower o 35 mm. Inside, the position of the indicators has been changed, a large speedometer took center stage, surrounded by other indicators – tachometer, with the fuel level indicator and the lights on, seat belts etc.. In order to increase driving comfort and improve ergonomics, the interior of the car has been extended by 30 mm and slightly lengthened.
Changes aimed at improving safe driving conditions include a standard-equipped airbag with a controlled inflation force.; for the front passenger, the airbag is available in the CDX version. The seat belts in the Nubira Kombi have pyrotechnic pretensioners. The braking system is improved, Bosch's four-channel anti-lock braking system, enriched with an electronic brake force distribution system. Another element that significantly increases safety is the system that cuts off the fuel supply during a collision, which is now included in the standard equipment of the so-called. „knee bolster”, installed below the steering column, which absorbs the energy of the impact. Inside the door panels there is a lining that absorbs the force of the impact and reduces potential injuries to the pelvis and thighs of passengers and the driver. The car is equipped with a non-jamming rear door with guide rails to push it out, to be able to leave the vehicle after an accident. The characteristics of the suspension springs have been changed in the new Nubira Kombi, which was aimed at improving the conditions of driving a car on curves. The interior of the vehicle is comfortable, aesthetically finished and makes a good impression, elegant interior handles attract attention. The driver can change the setting of the steering wheel, his seat is adjustable for the front and back of the seat, you can also determine the hardness of the back support (in the CDX version). On bends, the seat curves keep the seated people on the bends well. The length of the seats may raise objections, that do not support the legs of tall drivers. The headrests are vertically and horizontally adjustable 5 positions. The large number of useful storage compartments is noteworthy; even if a passenger's gas bag is used, there is a lockable storage compartment underneath it. Three recesses in the center console, two compartments in the doors and one under the radio allow you to hide small items. There are spacious pockets on the back of the front. Effective interior lighting is provided by three lamps, one of which is in the luggage compartment.

The body shape of the Estate model developed by the Italian styling company I.DE.A. harmonizes well with the overall silhouette of the car.
