They brought the brand's most successful model - Auburn 851 SC.
The car with a Lycoming engine developed power 84,5 kW (115 KM), and even with a compressor 110,3 (150 KM). Inline, water-cooled 8-cylinder engine 4590 cm3 with a low valve timing. An aluminum cylinder head is mounted on the cast iron cylinder block. The hydraulic brakes worked on all of them 4 wheels. The drive to the rear axle was transmitted via a 3-speed gearbox and a propeller shaft. The frame chassis was sprung by semi-elliptical leaf springs. The car developed top speed 160 km/h.
W 1937 r. Auburn has released its last 12 cylinder model. Soon after, E.. L. Cord closed down the company.
